Further details about the stone:

Crystal system: Orthorhombic
Family: Sulphates
Colours: Light to deep blue
Chakra: 5th – throat centre

Soul: Angelite (or anhydrite) offers celestial protection, encouraging stability, security and firmness.

Subconscious: Helps overcome stress, fear and impending danger.

Mental sphere: Clears unproductive rumination and fixed ideas.

Emotional sphere: Helps overcome insecurity, bringing deep peace and relieving worry and oppression.

Body: Soothes inflammation arising from intense red emotions such as rage and aggression; relaxes mind and body; supports kidney function and fluid balance.

Other properties: Slightly soluble in water.

Cleansing and recharging: Do not immerse in water. If possible, rest on a natural amethyst or rock crystal cluster. Reiki and moonlight restore its vitality. Once angelite (or anhydrite) has given up all its energetic potential, it becomes fragile and breaks; it should then be returned to nature by placing it in the sea or a watercourse.

Use: Carry in a pocket or natural-fibre pouch around the neck; too soft to wear as a mounted stone. Sleep with it in your pillowcase. Excellent for meditation and Reiki treatments; an important mineral in crystal healing.
