Place two/three pieces of incense on the charcoal using to teaspoon. When the pieces of incense no longer make to scent, replace them by removing the worn ones and placing two/three new ones using to teaspoon.

Warnings: charcoal develops to very high temperature so it should absolutely NOT be placed on supports that could be damaged.
