Gum Arabic – Incense Granules – 50 g

Gum arabic originates in Africa and is also known as acacia gum, as it is extracted from two species of sub-Saharan acacia. It is the oldest and best-known of all gums. Excellent for cleansing spaces, it absorbs moisture and releases a pleasant aroma, while attracting positive energy for meditation.

This premium natural resin is of botanical origin and can be burned for a unique aromatic experience. Resin is incense in its pure form and the most natural method of fumigation in the world. It is obtained from bark, sap, roots or wood in their wild state. Resins do not burn on their own like incense powders, sticks or cones; they are placed on a charcoal tablet inside a heat-resistant burner.

They are very potent, with fragrances more intense than other forms of incense, so only a small amount is used at a time.

Directions: In a suitable resin incense burner, light an incense charcoal tablet and place it on the metal mesh, using tongs to avoid burns. Use a teaspoon to place two or three pieces of incense on the charcoal. When the incense pieces no longer release fragrance, remove the used pieces and replace them with two or three fresh pieces using a teaspoon.

Warnings: The charcoal reaches a very high temperature and MUST NOT be placed on surfaces that could be damaged.

AVOID: Glass or plastic ashtrays and thin metal ashtrays (as well as becoming extremely hot, they will burn the surface beneath them). Use heat-resistant supports such as stone ashtrays, censers or stone or metal oil burners. Never leave glowing incense unattended. Keep away from children and pets!
