Origin of Gomati Chakra Stones
Gomati Chakra stones owe their name to the place where they were originally found: the Gomati River in India. It is a white stone with small circles, which rotate like a Chakra. They are considered a symbol of the Hindu goddess Lakshmi. Gomati Chakra is also said to resemble the Sudarshan Chakra, the discus that Lord Krishna holds in his hand. According to many Vaishnavas and oral tradition of North India, the Gomati stones were part of the palaces of Lord Krishna in Dwarka (India). They were used to adorn the walls and floors of many of Sri Krishna's palaces.
