Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris).
In oriental medicine and in particular in traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean acupuncture, Mugwort is used to provide heat to the body, with a procedure called moxibustion. For this purpose, dried and powdered Artemisia leaves are usually pressed to form a stick, called moxa, which is lit at the tip and then brought closer to the acupuncture points involved. In China Acupuncture is called Zhen Jiu, and can be practiced with both needles and moxa.
