Black Myrrh – Incense Granules – 50 g

Black myrrh is the naturally dried resin of the Commiphora myrrha tree, native to Somalia, Yemen and eastern Ethiopia. It was highly prized in biblical times and has been used throughout history as a perfume, incense and medicine.

Properties of myrrh resin: Black myrrh incense is used for its virtues. It protects against evil spirits and promotes and intensifies feelings within the visual field.

Fragrance of myrrh granules: Sweetish and slightly bitter.

Directions: In a suitable resin incense burner, light an incense charcoal tablet and place it on the metal mesh, using tongs to avoid burns. Use a teaspoon to place two or three pieces of incense on the charcoal. When the incense pieces no longer release fragrance, remove the used pieces and replace them with two or three fresh pieces using a teaspoon.

Warnings: The charcoal reaches a very high temperature and MUST NOT be placed on surfaces that could be damaged.

AVOID: Glass or plastic ashtrays and thin metal ashtrays (as well as becoming extremely hot, they will burn the surface beneath them). Use heat-resistant supports such as stone ashtrays, censers or stone or metal oil burners. Never leave glowing incense unattended. Keep away from children and pets!
