Cleansing and Recharging: Immerse in cold salt water for a few hours. Alternatively, use Reiki, the violet flame or rest it on an amethyst or clear quartz cluster. Sunlight (no direct sunlight) and moonlight baths restore its vitality. When onyx has given up all its energetic potential, it will become fragile and break. At that point, it should be returned to nature by releasing it into the sea or a watercourse.

Use: Carry it with you (in a pocket or a natural-fibre pouch worn around the neck); wear it set in necklaces, bracelets or pendants; sleep with it inside your pillowcase. Excellent for meditation and Reiki treatments. It can be attached to the skin with a plaster at the 1st chakra; an important mineral in crystal healing treatments.
