White Sage and Cinnamon Smudge Bundle

Smudge bundles, also known as shamanic incense, are made from dried aromatic herbs. Native Americans used them in ceremonies such as sweat lodge rituals for protection and cleansing. White sage, with its strong, spicy scent, is the most common smudging herb. Burning white sage cleanses the atmosphere and repels insects. Cinnamon is known for its soft, invigorating, sweet fragrance, which has a relaxing effect on the mind.

The benefits of smudging extend beyond removing positive ions and negative energies. It promotes well-being for mind, body and spirit by helping to

• heal past traumas or negative experiences
• cleanse objects of energies they may have absorbed over the years
• create a more positive environment
• improve mood
• reduce stress, anxiety and depression
• improve concentration and attention
• cleanse the aura of negative influences

Directions Light the bundle and wait until a flame appears. Once the top is lit, use a feather to waft the sacred smoke over objects and people and into every corner of the room, cleansing the atmosphere throughout. You can also rest the smudge bundle on a fireproof plate or shell.
